Anecdotes in Japan

I collected many stories about Rice, Soy, Tea and pottery to introduce on each page.
But some stories could not be clearly categorized in these 4 themes.
Because some of them cover descendant themes and some dig a bit too deeper.
Therefore, I had to give them a new category.
But in what category?
After deep contemplation, I’ve given them a category of “Anecdotes in Japan”.
When I checked the dictionaries of English and French, I recognized the anecdote is not a correct name for them.
So you might feel disappointed to find the above stories are not anecdotes.
But I’m going to use this category name, because I cannot hit upon another suitable one.
I’d be very happy if you could give me advice concerning their real name.
