1. Video
Firstly, let me present to you a YouTube video :
【Prince Aojiru】Udon life in Japan
Prince Aojiru, one of the most famous young millionaires in Japan, tastes Japanese Udon noodles in various styles (Cold /Hot/ Stewed etc).
2. Let’s make Hoto
Secondly, let me introduce two unique programs. By participating in them, you can vividly experience the world of Japanese Udon noodles. However, what you make in these programs are a bit different type of Udon called Hoto.
Hoto is thick and flat noodles simmered in miso soup together with seasonal vegetables and sweet pumpkins. Legend has it that Takeda Shingen who ruled over Kofu enjoyed Hoto Noodles as a meal between battles.
1) Authentic Hoto
【Yamanashi / Kawaguchiko】
You can enjoy authentic Hoto making.
Unlike regular noodles, hoto noodles do not need to be laid down. Therefore, please make noodles by hand from the state of powder.
At the popular [Yamanashi set], you can experience making Abekawa mochi and Koshu chicken motsuni.
In addition to the hoto making experience, you can also make Yamanashi‘s B-class gourmet “bird motsu boiled making experience” and Shizuoka‘s representative “Abekawa mochi making experience” as a set.
The hoto making experience itself takes about 45 minutes, but it takes about 10 minutes per person for boiled chicken motsu and about 5 minutes for Shingen mochi.
2 people ~ groups can participate
Beginners and small children also participate in this experience. In addition, participation in groups such as school trips, employee trips, and sightseeing tours will be very exciting.
We also have English-speaking staff, so customers from overseas are also welcome.
2) Seafood Hoto
【Yamanashi / Kawaguchiko】
Speaking of “Hoto“, many people think of pumpkins, but Futto Laboratory specializes in seafood. So, please enjoy luxurious seafood Hoto in a delicious seafood soup.<Schedule>
